ABOUT THE EVENT
The Friends of Ghana Gala will be a pivotal event aimed at advancing transformative health and economic development outcomes for underserved populations in Ghana.
With a $2 million fundraising goal, this impactful night will provide an exceptional opportunity to raise awareness and funds for two frontline providers: Sanford World Clinic and the World Shoe Enterprise. The intersection of these two organizations lies in their shared commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians through sustainable development, better healthcare, and economic opportunity.
The Gala will celebrate their efforts and spotlight the collaborative potential for impactful change in Ghana.
WHY GHANA?
Many Ghanaians, especially those in rural communities, face a lack of access to healthcare. This means they are forced to travel hours for treatment, or to several different clinics to get necessary care. In addition to this, many people cannot afford shoes. Walking barefoot exposes them to soil-born illness and infection. This lack of access and proper footwear leave much of the population at risk of suffering from preventable disease. However, a US dollar can stretch further in Ghana, meaning even a small donation toward healthcare and protective footwear can make a meaningful step toward change.

The World Shoe is impactful, eco-friendly footwear designed to protect against soil-borne diseases and injury. Manufactured and distributed in Ghana, these shoes support health and dignity as well as strengthen the local economy by providing employment to Ghanaians.
Your donation helps provide 100,000 pairs of the World Shoe, along with essential health and hygiene services. These include testing and screenings as well
